Application Chart
Propagation
A light dusting (0.5 grams per litre of media) of PyroClay over the media after seeding. For optimum results, water in 0.5 grams per litre of PyroClay with NutriBoost (plant enzyme rooting initiator) amended solution.
Rockwool
In drain to waste, or drip systems, the best results are obtained
with the placement of PyroClay on the top of the transplant block
directly under the dripper. Sprinkle 1-2 grams (1-2 Tsp) of PyroClay on top of the media after transplant.
Recycling system Including NFT
For recycling water culture, including NFT, there is the
consideration of the additional nutrient elements, which are
added when PyroClay is dissolved in the reservoir. To maintain silicon levels of 1400 ppm add 2.5 grams per litre of reservoir
volume bi-weekly.
Soiless Mixes
Containers & Hanging Baskets; Mix into media at the same rate 5 grams per litre.
Golf Course Greens and Fairways
Mix PyroClay with the top 6 inches of soil/sand at a rate of 22
kilograms per ton of media at initial construction. Top dress
with 45 kilograms per acre with PyroClay each spring and fall.
Field Crops
Top dress with 135 kilograms of PyroClay per acre after harvest
in the fall or between harvest on multiple cropping.
Culture Stress
Reservoirs
Add 2 grams of PyroClay to each 100 liters of water storage and ensure maximum aeration. Repeat each time reservoir is refilled.
Foliar Application
Add 25 grams of PyroClay to every 100 liters (25 gallons) of water. Agitate at 3000 rpm for 20 minutes. Apply through pressure or overhead misting.
Harvest & Pruning Stress
Cover all pruning and harvest wounds with PyroClay , or mix with water and apply as a foliar spray. Apply the PyroClay at the end of the day at a recommended rate of 10 lbs. per acre of 10 kilograms per hectare.
Crown & Stem Stress
Add Slowly mix 2 kilograms of PyroClay with water to make a
thick paste. Apply a thick coat to all visible lesions. Place 15 grams of PyroClay around the root crown of all plants in the affected growing area.
Top Dress for acreage
Top dress with 180 kilograms per acre of PyroClay as soon as any fungus is noticed.
